Vaishali: Chirag Paswan, the National President of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) (Ram Vilas), made a fervent address at the Jan Ashirwad Mahasabha in Sahebganj, Vaishali on Sunday, injecting vigor into the political arena as Bihar gears up for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
In his impassioned speech, Chirag underscored his unwavering allegiance to the people of Bihar, emphasizing that his alliance rests solely with them and will persist until his last breath. He lamented the stagnant state of Bihar’s development despite the succession of governments, remarking on the state’s continued descent towards deterioration.
“Bihar’s plight remains unchanged despite the passage of numerous administrations. The exodus of Biharis in search of employment persists, and basic necessities continue to elude the state. What have the victorious parties brought us?” Chirag queried, advocating for the integration of Bihar’s 14 crore populace into the national mainstream, transcending barriers of caste and creed.
The political landscape in Bihar is embroiled in tension as Chirag, a key ally of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), maneuvers for a favorable seat-sharing arrangement. However, discord within the Paswan family, particularly with his estranged uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras, adds complexity to the negotiation process. Despite these challenges, other NDA leaders express optimism regarding the forthcoming seat distribution in Bihar.
“My crusade is for Bihar First and Bihari First,” Chirag affirmed, citing his decade-long endeavor to uplift his constituency, Jamui, from obscurity to prominence in the NITI Aayog rankings.
During the public gathering, Chirag was greeted with fervor by party workers, who bestowed upon him a symbolic silver crown and presented him with a ceremonial sword. Furthermore, he was adorned with a flower garland weighing 51 kilograms, indicative of the fervent support he commands among the populace.
