Patna: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar is set to embark on a fresh statewide tour later this month, with his office preparing a detailed schedule that is expected to be announced shortly.
According to officials, the tour will mark CM’s first extensive outreach to the public since his decisive victory in the recent assembly elections. During the visits, the chief minister is expected to review the on-ground progress of development projects and assess the implementation of key government schemes across districts.
The tour is also intended to evaluate how far commitments made during his previous progress visits have been fulfilled. Projects that have been completed in the interim are likely to be inaugurated during the programme, officials said.
CM Nitish is expected to interact directly with residents during the tour, listening to grievances and feedback from local communities. He is also likely to thank voters for their support in the elections.
While the final dates are yet to be confirmed, the tour is widely expected to begin after Makar Sankranti on January 14. Preparations are already under way across the state, with district magistrates and superintendents of police instructed to make necessary arrangements. District-wise locations for the chief minister’s visits are currently being finalised.
