Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday directed officials to accelerate land acquisition and infrastructure development works related to industrial and urban development projects across the state.
The directive was issued during a high-level review meeting held at the Sankalp Hall of the Public Servants’ Residence, where the Chief Minister assessed the progress of schemes being implemented by the Industries Department and the Urban Development and Housing Department.
Focus on Timely Land Acquisition
During the meeting, officials presented updates on land acquisition for industrial areas, investment projects, urban development schemes and town planning initiatives.
The Chief Minister instructed departments to ensure the availability of land and infrastructure required for industrial projects at the earliest. He said all processes related to land acquisition should be completed within prescribed timelines and administrative bottlenecks should be removed without delay.
According to officials, the government aims to strengthen Bihar’s investment ecosystem by facilitating industrial expansion and creating new employment opportunities.
Push for Investment and Infrastructure
The Chief Minister emphasised the need for greater coordination among departments to provide investors with modern infrastructure and other essential facilities.
He directed the Urban Development and Housing Department to expedite the preparation and implementation of integrated infrastructure plans for proposed industrial zones and urban development areas. Officials were also asked to speed up processes related to land identification, acquisition and transfer.
The Chief Minister further ordered regular monitoring of projects to ensure the timely completion of new industrial areas and satellite townships planned in different parts of the state.
Quality and Timelines Prioritised
Addressing senior officials, Choudhary said that maintaining quality standards and adhering to project timelines must remain a priority in all initiatives related to investment, industrial development and urbanisation.
He stated that the government’s objective is to take Bihar to higher levels of industrial and economic development through improved infrastructure and a stronger investment environment.
Officials from the concerned departments reviewed ongoing projects and discussed measures to ensure faster implementation of infrastructure and industrial development initiatives across the state.
