Patna: CM Samrat Choudhary has issued strict directions to officials of the Road Construction Department, emphasising quality assurance, safety monitoring and timely completion of ongoing infrastructure projects across Bihar.
High-Level Review of Infrastructure Projects
The Chief Minister chaired a review meeting at the Sankalp Sabhagar in the Public Servant Residence complex, where progress of major road and bridge projects was assessed in detail. Officials discussed ongoing work, maintenance requirements and future planning across the state’s infrastructure network.
Choudhary underlined that there would be no compromise on construction quality or safety standards in any project.
Focus on Quality and Timely Completion
During the meeting, the Chief Minister said that providing safe and high-quality road connectivity remains a key government priority. He directed officials to ensure continuous monitoring of construction work and to eliminate any negligence in execution or maintenance.
He also stressed that all projects must be completed within fixed deadlines, with strengthened financial management to avoid delays.
Bridge Safety Audits Mandated
Special emphasis was placed on the safety of bridges across Bihar. The Chief Minister instructed that regular inspections and technical audits be carried out by expert teams to identify risks at an early stage.
Officials were directed to ensure strict adherence to safety norms during both construction and maintenance phases.
Review of Ganga Path Project
The meeting also reviewed the Munger (Safiyabad)–Bariyarpur–Ghorghat–Sultanganj–Bhagalpur–Sabour Four-Lane Ganga Path Project. The Chief Minister asked officials to expedite work under the Hybrid Annuity Mode and maintain quality benchmarks.
He noted that the project is expected to strengthen connectivity in eastern Bihar and support economic activity as well as tourism in the region.
