Bagaha: More than 60 cobra snakes have been rescued from a house in Bagaha forcing a family to leave their home in panic. The incident occurred in Laxmipur village under Chautarwa police station area, where Vinod Yadav and his family lived.
For the past few days, the family heard rustling sounds in their house at night but ignored them. Soon after, snakes started appearing daily, creating chaos. Villagers were alerted when Vinod sought help. Local youths searched the house and, upon digging under the floor, discovered a large burrow sheltering a group of poisonous cobra snakes.
A rescue campaign by villagers continued for three days, during which over 60 cobra snakes were safely captured and released into a nearby forest. However, fear still grips the family and local residents. Vinod and his family are currently staying with relatives as they are hesitant to enter the house again.
