Patna: In a significant move to deepen the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, the Deputy Chief Minister today unveiled a newly developed CSR Portal designed to foster greater transparency, accountability, and collaboration among government bodies, corporations, NGOs, and communities.
Recognising CSR as more than a statutory obligation, the portal aims to serve as a comprehensive digital platform where all CSR activities will be tracked and publicly accessible. Detailed information on which companies are investing in specific sectors, the amounts committed, project progress, and outcomes will be available in real time. This transparency is expected to build public trust and ensure that CSR funds are utilised effectively.
The portal also seeks to address the critical challenge of matching resources with genuine community needs. By connecting corporations with areas requiring support—such as education, healthcare, sanitation, women’s empowerment, and environmental protection—the initiative aims to maximise the social impact of CSR spending.
Real-time monitoring and reporting features will enable immediate oversight of fund utilisation and project progress, allowing swift intervention in case of delays or issues. Additionally, the platform simplifies compliance for companies, offering a streamlined digital process for reporting and data management.
Importantly, the portal is intended to strengthen public-private partnerships by bringing together the government, private sector, and civil society, leveraging their combined expertise and resources to drive sustainable and inclusive development.
