Dalmia Group Gets Clearance For Rs 1,146 Crore Cement Projects In Bihar

The Bihar government approved 16 industrial projects worth more than Rs 2,484 crore during the latest SIPB meeting, including two major cement manufacturing units proposed by the Dalmia Group.

Patna: The Bihar government has granted Stage 1 clearance to two major cement manufacturing projects proposed by the Dalmia Bharat Group, with combined investments exceeding Rs 1,146 crore.

According to officials, Dalmia Bharat Green Vision Limited received approval to establish a cement unit with a production capacity of 2.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) in the Mahwal Industrial Area of Muzaffarpur at an investment of Rs 573.15 crore.

Simultaneously, Dalmia Cement (North East) Limited secured Stage 1 clearance for another 2.5 MTPA cement unit in Kishanganj, involving an investment of Rs 573.76 crore.

Bihar Seeking To Position Itself As Industrial Hub

Industry Minister Shreyasi Singh said the state government was working to provide:

  • faster approvals
  • transparent administrative systems
  • improved infrastructure support

to investors.

According to the minister, Bihar was rapidly emerging as a preferred industrial destination due to reforms aimed at simplifying investment processes.

SIPB continues to accelerate Bihar’s industrial momentum.

SIPB Clears 16 Projects Worth Rs 2,484 Crore

Officials said the approvals were granted during the 67th meeting of the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB).

Industry Secretary Kundan Kumar said the growing interest from major industrial groups reflected increasing investor confidence in Bihar.

He stated that the proposed Dalmia projects in Kishanganj and Muzaffarpur were expected to:

  • expand industrial production capacity
  • strengthen regional economic activity
  • generate employment opportunities

The SIPB meeting granted Stage 1 clearance to a total of 16 projects worth Rs 2,484.06 crore.

Additionally, financial approval was granted to four projects valued at Rs 46.86 crore.

Multiple Investment Proposals Approved

Apart from the Dalmia projects, approvals were also granted to proposals submitted by:

  • Ambuja Cements
  • KNSG Aluminium Private Limited
  • S Rajdev Builds LLP
  • Icon Spiral Electronics Private Limited
  • Sita Agro Food Products
  • SAPL Industries Private Limited

Officials said the government had placed particular emphasis on:

  • speeding up investment approvals
  • increasing transparency
  • streamlining industrial clearances

as part of its broader push to accelerate industrialisation in Bihar.
