Danapur Division Marks 100 Years with Exhibition and Cultural Program
Hajipur: The centenary celebrations of Danapur Division were held at Jagjivan Stadium, commemorating its 100-year journey in Indian Railways. The event aimed to showcase the historical heritage and development of the division while engaging rail users. General Manager Chhatrasal Singh inaugurated the function by lighting a ceremonial lamp. Additional General Manager Amarendra Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager Jayant Kumar Chaudhary, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Aadhar Raj, and several railway officers and staff were present. President of East Central Railway Women Welfare Organization, Sunita Singh, along with former General Managers and Divisional Railway Managers, also attended.
A photo exhibition displaying the century-long history of Danapur Division was a key highlight of the event. It presented the division’s establishment, milestones, achievements, and advancements in a visually engaging manner. The exhibition also featured an impressive video divided into three segments: “Honoring the Past,” “Celebrating the Present,” and “Inspiring the Future.”
Addressing the gathering, General Manager Chhatrasal Singh described the centenary as a moment of pride and reflection. He emphasized Danapur Division’s role in Indian Railways’ progress, contributing to passenger services, freight operations, safety improvements, and digital advancements. He highlighted the division’s commitment to environmental sustainability, station redevelopment, and operational efficiency, crediting railway employees for their dedication in driving these achievements.
Looking ahead, Chhatrasal Singh outlined a vision for a more passenger-centric, eco-friendly, and technologically advanced railway system. He reaffirmed the division’s focus on green energy, smart infrastructure, and digital transformation, ensuring continuous growth and modernization in the coming years.
