Patna: A SpiceJet flight operating from Mumbai to Darbhanga was cancelled on Saturday due to poor weather conditions, disrupting travel plans for dozens of passengers.
Flight SG 334, scheduled to land at Darbhanga airport around noon, was called off shortly before arrival as dense fog reduced visibility. The airline announced the cancellation at around 11 am, by which time an estimated 40 to 50 passengers had already reached the airport and were forced to return.
Meanwhile, an Akasa Air flight from Mumbai, scheduled to arrive at 1:20 pm, is expected to land approximately 90 minutes late, airport officials said.
According to the airport’s daily schedule, flights to and from Delhi and Hyderabad remain operational, with one pair each operated by SpiceJet, IndiGo and Akasa Air. However, IndiGo’s Kolkata–Darbhanga service is currently off schedule.
Weather conditions in Darbhanga remained unfavourable through the morning, with dense fog and temperatures hovering around 14°C, affecting flight operations across the region.
