Patna/Darbhanga: Senior district officials in Darbhanga have begun enforcing newly introduced traffic regulations on the ground, as the Bihar government intensifies efforts to reduce congestion and improve road safety across urban centres.
Following the formation of the new state government, authorities in Darbhanga implemented stricter traffic rules from Monday, deploying both administrative and police leadership at major intersections to ensure compliance. Sub-divisional magistrate (Sadar) Vikas Kumar and sub-divisional police officer (Sadar) Rajiv Kumar were seen supervising enforcement alongside a heavy police presence.
Officials said drivers were informed about the revised rules and warned against violations, while fines were issued in several cases. The administration has made it clear that enforcement will remain strict, with no exemptions for offenders.
