Extra Rush During Holi: Special Trains to Connect Delhi, Amritsar to Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Rajgir, Saharsa, Jogbani

Hajipur: In anticipation of the increased passenger rush during the Holi festival, Indian Railways has announced the operation of 15 pairs of special trains, including one Vande Bharat Special, to facilitate travel between key destinations. These trains will run on select dates in March 2025, catering to high-demand routes.

List of Special Trains:

  1. New Delhi-Patna-New Delhi Vande Bharat Special (Train No. 02436/02435): This train will operate via Patliputra, Chhapra, Ballia, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Kanpur.
    • New Delhi to Patna: Departs at 08:30 hrs from March 8 to March 20 (except Mondays), arriving at 22:30 hrs.
    • Patna to New Delhi: Departs at 05:30 hrs from March 9 to March 21 (except Tuesdays), arriving at 20:10 hrs.
  2. Delhi-Patna-Delhi Superfast Festival Special (Train No. 04062/04061): Operates via DDU, Prayagraj, and Ghaziabad.
    • Delhi to Patna: Departs at 23:55 hrs daily from March 7 to March 17, arriving at 16:40 hrs the next day.
    • Patna to Delhi: Departs at 17:50 hrs daily from March 7 to March 18, arriving at 10:25 hrs the next day.
  3. Anand Vihar-Rajgir-Anand Vihar Superfast Festival Special (Train No. 04070/04069): Runs via Patna and DDU.
    • Anand Vihar to Rajgir: Departs at 00:20 hrs on March 7, 11, 14, and 18, arriving at 19:50 hrs.
    • Rajgir to Anand Vihar: Departs at 23:30 hrs on March 7, 11, 14, and 18, arriving at 19:00 hrs the next day.
  4. New Delhi-Bhagalpur-New Delhi Festival Special (Train No. 04068/04067): Covers Jamalpur, Kiul, Mokama, and Patna.
    • New Delhi to Bhagalpur: Departs at 14:00 hrs on March 9, 12, 16, and 19, arriving at 13:30 hrs the next day.
    • Bhagalpur to New Delhi: Departs at 14:30 hrs on March 10, 13, 17, and 20, arriving at 14:30 hrs the next day.
  5. New Delhi-Gaya-New Delhi Superfast Festival Special (Train No. 04064/04063): Runs via DDU and Prayagraj.
    • New Delhi to Gaya: Departs at 09:30 hrs on March 10, 13, and 17, arriving at 01:50 hrs the next day.
    • Gaya to New Delhi: Departs at 06:40 hrs on March 7, 11, 14, and 18, arriving at 23:35 hrs the same day.
  6. Anand Vihar-Muzaffarpur-Anand Vihar Festival Special (Train No. 04018/04017): Covers Bapudham Motihari, Raxaul, and Gorakhpur.
    • Anand Vihar to Muzaffarpur: Departs at 09:00 hrs on March 13 and 20, arriving at 06:00 hrs the next day.
    • Muzaffarpur to Anand Vihar: Departs at 07:30 hrs on March 7, 14, and 21, arriving at 06:00 hrs the next day.
  7. Yoganagri Rishikesh-Muzaffarpur-Yoganagri Rishikesh Festival Special (Train No. 04302/04301): Runs via Hajipur, Gorakhpur, and Haridwar.
    • Rishikesh to Muzaffarpur: Departs at 09:20 hrs on March 10, 13, and 17, arriving at 07:30 hrs the next day.
    • Muzaffarpur to Rishikesh: Departs at 09:00 hrs on March 7, 11, 14, and 18, arriving at 08:10 hrs the next day.
  8. New Delhi-Saharsa-New Delhi Festival Special (Train No. 04066/04065): Covers Barauni, Samastipur, and Hajipur.
    • New Delhi to Saharsa: Departs at 21:35 hrs on March 10, 13, and 17, arriving at 22:00 hrs the next day.
    • Saharsa to New Delhi: Departs at 23:55 hrs on March 7, 11, 14, and 18, arriving at 23:30 hrs the next day.
  9. Anand Vihar-Jogbani-Anand Vihar Festival Special (Train No. 04010/04009): Operates via Purnia, Katihar, and Barauni.
    • Anand Vihar to Jogbani: Departs at 23:55 hrs on March 10 and 17, arriving at 03:00 hrs on the third day.
    • Jogbani to Anand Vihar: Departs at 09:45 hrs on March 12 and 19, arriving at 12:25 hrs the next day.
  10. Amritsar-Saharsa-Amritsar Festival Special (Train No. 04602/04601): Covers Barauni, Samastipur, Hajipur, and Gorakhpur.
  • Amritsar to Saharsa: Departs at 20:10 hrs on March 8, 12, and 16, arriving at 05:00 hrs on the third day.
  • Saharsa to Amritsar: Departs at 10:00 hrs on March 10, 14, and 18, arriving at 18:20 hrs the next day.

Booking and Travel Advisory:

Passengers are advised to book their tickets in advance through official railway booking platforms to avoid last-minute hassles. Additional security and crowd management measures will be implemented at major railway stations to ensure smooth operations.

With these special trains, Indian Railways aims to facilitate convenient and comfortable travel for passengers during the festive season. Travelers are encouraged to check the official railway website or mobile app for real-time updates on schedules and seat availability.
