Patna: Patna’s emergence as a cultural and fashion hub was underscored on Sunday as over 120 women participated in the opening auditions of the Guide Mrs Bihar-2025 beauty pageant. Held at the Buddha Heritage Hotel in Patliputra and organised by Ocean Entertainment, the event attracted 123 married contestants, all vying for a place in the upcoming grand finale.

Participants including Aishwarya Raj, Chandni Goenka, Priya, Kiran, Nisha, Subhangi Bhagwapi and Swati showcased their flair and determination in a catwalk round that was as spirited as it was inspiring. Personal stories and aspirations flowed freely, adding emotional weight to what was more than a conventional beauty contest.
With a second round of auditions planned for those unable to attend, the competition promises to be inclusive. Finalists will undergo grooming sessions and take the stage in front of Bollywood personalities including Mrs World 2022, Sargam Kaushal.

This year’s pageant is themed “Stop Violence Against Women”, aligning the event with broader social goals. Winners are set to become ambassadors for campaigns focusing on menstrual hygiene and gender-based violence, particularly in rural areas of Bihar.

“We want to ensure that this platform does not end with a crown. It should lead to real change,” said Praveen Sinha, managing director of Ocean Entertainment.
The judging panel for the Patna auditions comprised Manish Chandresh, Anil Raj, Rajiv Roy and Abhishek.
