Fighter Jet-Shaped Tajia in Gayaji Made in Honour of Operation Sindoor and Women Commanders

A Tajia crafted as a fighter jet in GayaJi has honoured Operation Sindoor and highlighted the leadership of Wing Commander Sophia Qureshi and Byomika Singh during Muharram.

Gayaji: A Tajia crafted in the form of a fighter jet has become the highlight of Muharram celebrations in Gayaji, Bihar. Created by residents of Bikua Kalan village in Dumaria block, the Tajia features the names of Wing Commander Sophia Qureshi and Byomika Singh, both of whom played leading roles in Operation Sindoor.

Operation Sindoor was launched by India after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. During the operation, Indian fighter jets destroyed several terrorist hideouts in Pakistan, and the command on its first day was held by Qureshi and Singh. The Tajia, designed on the lines of this fighter jet, has become a symbol of patriotism and women’s power.

According to Shahid Hussain, who helped create the Tajia, the purpose was to show that India is strong and its women excel in every field. Last year, the same village crafted a Tajia themed on Chandrayaan-3, which attracted widespread attention. This year’s fighter jet design reflects India’s military strength and women’s empowerment on the global stage.
