Patna: A special lecture will be held on May 4 at the Bapu Tower in Gardanibagh, Patna. The topic of the lecture is “Mahatma Gandhi’s Global Humanism”, and it is being organised under the ongoing “Bapu Samvad Series”. The series is meant to encourage public discussion on the life, values, and ideas of Mahatma Gandhi.
This will be the sixth lecture in the series. The main focus this time is on Gandhi’s idea of global humanism, which is based on peace, kindness, equality, and respect for all human beings. Organisers say the aim is to help people understand how Gandhi’s thoughts are still useful in today’s world, where conflicts and differences are common.
The keynote speaker for the event will be well-known author and art critic Dr Jyotish Joshi. He will speak about Gandhi’s vision of humanity and how it connects people across countries and cultures. His talk is expected to explain Gandhi’s ideas in a simple way so that students and the general public can easily understand them.
Mr Kumar Ravi, Secretary of the Building Construction Department, will attend the programme as the chief guest. The lecture will be held in the auditorium on the first floor of Bapu Tower. According to officials, many writers, teachers, educationists, and students from the city are expected to attend the event.
Vinay Kumar, Director of Bapu Tower, said that the “Bapu Samvad Series” is a special effort to bring Gandhi’s ideas closer to the public. He added that such discussions help people think about social values and encourage meaningful conversations among different sections of society.
