Patna: Extensive arrangements have been made at Gandhi Maidan ahead of Thursday’s swearing-in ceremony for the expanded Bihar cabinet, with dedicated enclosures and high-security facilities prepared for VVIP guests attending the event.
Officials said five special marquees have been constructed near the main stage for senior dignitaries, including Narendra Modi, who is expected to attend the ceremony.
Exclusive Green Room For PM
A specially designed green-coloured marquee has been reserved exclusively for the prime minister.
The enclosure, described by officials as a “Green Room”, has been equipped with facilities for rest, refreshments and private meetings before and after the event.
Authorities said the area includes air conditioning, seating arrangements, communication facilities, purified drinking water, tea, coffee and light refreshments.
Separate Enclosures For Senior Leaders
Separate marquees have also been designated for Amit Shah, Syed Ata Hasnain and Samrat Choudhary.
An additional enclosure has been prepared for other VVIP guests expected to attend the programme.
High-Security Zone
Officials said the Green Room and adjoining areas have been categorised as high-security zones.
Security arrangements are being overseen by multiple agencies, including the Special Protection Group responsible for the prime minister’s security.
Rain Preparedness Measures
With forecasts predicting possible rainfall in Patna, organisers have also undertaken precautionary measures around the venue.
A layer of bricks and sand has been laid beneath the marquees to prevent mud formation and ensure smooth movement between the enclosures and the main stage in case of rain.
The swearing-in ceremony is expected to witness the induction of new ministers into the Bihar cabinet amid heightened political attention.
