Gaya: The Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya is hosting the 24th Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management (GIFT) Conference from April 4th to 6th, 2024. The conference is based around the theme, “Flexible Strategies and Management Practices for a Sustainable Future,” This conference is an effort to provide a global platform for policymakers, practitioners, researchers, teachers, and students to share their valuable experiences and insights regarding sustainable and flexible business strategies.
The inaugural session featured speakers including Prof. Vinita S. Sahay, Director, IIM Bodh Gaya, Prof. Sushil, Founder of GIFT Society, where he discussed the importance of flexible systems and highlighted its benefits. The conference had other speakers like Prof. V.K. Gupta, President of GIFT Society, Prof. Narendra M. Agrawal, Adjunct Professor at IIM Bangalore, Dr. Arnab Mitra, Executive Director at PWC India, and Mr. Anagh Singh, Assistant Vice President at Invest India. Dr. Swaminathan Mani, Vice President & Head of Business Marketing at Tech Mahindra elaborated on the crucial qualities that are the need of the hour when stakes are higher.
The conference attendees were a part of various sessions, workshops, and presentations covering entrepreneurship, case writing, artificial intelligence, and corporate training and consulting as a part of the inaugural session. Industry leaders and experts, including Mr. Krishnan Mahadevan, Founder of Iyer Idly, Mr. Utkarsh Dabhade, Founder of Goamiles, Mr. Debi Kar, Founder of HYRGPT, Mr. Srijan Singh, Founder & CEO at Homi Lab, Prof. Madhu Veeraraghavan, Pro-Vice Chancellor at MAHE, Prof. Sunil Maheshwari, Dean, Alumni and External Relations at IIM Ahmedabad and others, shared their invaluable insights and experiences, enriching the knowledge of attendees.
The conference also includes paper presentations in the coming days of its course, which will allow researchers and practitioners to showcase their work in strategy, marketing, finance, IT, operations, and more. The total number of papers received is 310, stretching along 18 tracks from more than 160 registered participants along with three international participants from South Korea.
The conference also hosts a fireside chat with Prof. Jagdish Sheth, a distinguished professor of marketing where the attendees can discuss and have insights from an industry pioneer.
The event will conclude on the 6th of April and will feature speakers, including Prof. Vinita S. Sahay, Mr Damodar Mall, CEO of Reliance Retail, Mr. Gopalan Oppiliappan, Head of AI Center of Excellence at Intel India and Mr. Nidhin Kurian John from Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd.
GLOGIFT 24 at IIM Bodh Gaya aims to provide a platform for the exchange of discourse regarding sustainable and flexible business strategies, knowledge exchange, and networking, facilitating collaborations in business management.
