New Delhi/Patna: Google has introduced a new update to its Gemini app that aims to make AI image creation easier and more personal for users. The update allows the app to generate images based on a person’s interests, preferences and even photos stored in their Google account. This means users no longer need to write long and complicated prompts to create detailed visuals, making the process simpler and more accessible for everyone.
Earlier, users had to describe every detail clearly and often upload reference images to get accurate results from AI tools. With this new feature, Google Gemini can automatically understand what a user might like by connecting with other Google services. For example, a user can simply type “design my dream house” or “show my perfect holiday,” and the app will generate images that match their tastes without needing extra instructions.
The technology behind this feature includes Google’s Personal Intelligence system and its Nano Banana 2 image model. These systems work together to collect useful context from connected apps. If users link their Google Photos, the app can recognise familiar faces, pets or favourite activities and include them in the generated images. This allows people to create visuals that feel more real and connected to their own lives, such as a family scene or a favourite hobby in a unique art style.
Google has said that user privacy remains important, and the company does not use personal photos to train its AI models. Instead, the information is only used at the time of creating the image to make it more relevant. Users can also edit or improve the generated images by giving extra instructions or choosing different styles like painting or sketch effects.
The feature is currently being rolled out in the United States for users with Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra subscriptions. The company plans to expand it to more users and platforms soon, including desktop access. With this update, Gemini is moving towards a future where creating personalised digital art becomes quick, simple and part of everyday technology use.
