Patna: The weather in Bihar is undergoing a shift due to the influence of north-westerly winds, with light to moderate fog expected in several northern districts, while other parts, including Patna, will remain dry. A gradual northward movement in mercury column is being witnessed every day with the maximum temperature likely to reach up to 28 degrees C by Feb 17 at majority places in the state.

According to the Patna Meteorological Centre, a cyclonic circulation persists over northeast Assam and its surrounding areas, potentially affecting weather conditions in Katihar, Purnia, Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Supaul, Saharsa, Khagaria, Begusarai, and Samastipur. A drop in temperature is expected across the state within the next 24 hours.

On Tuesday morning, moderate fog was reported in East and West Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, and Kishanganj.
