Rohtas: Gupta Dham, a popular cave shrine in the Kaimur hills of Rohtas district, is set to be developed with modern facilities. Known for its natural beauty and religious importance, the temple attracts lakhs of devotees every year, especially in the month of Sawan when people come to worship Baba Gupteshwar Nath.
The Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has announced a development plan worth Rs 12.5 crore. Officials said the project will solve problems such as lack of oxygen inside the cave, overcrowding and waterlogging, which cause inconvenience to visitors.
Under this plan, oxygen supply will be arranged inside the cave, and a proper drainage system will be built. Electricity facilities will also be upgraded, and separate routes for entry and exit will be created to manage the heavy crowd.
Outside the cave, worship facilities will also be improved for devotees. The government hopes these changes will not only make the experience safer and easier but also increase tourism in the region.
