Patna: The Bihar Cooperation Department has launched a large-scale ‘Har Ghar Tiranga-2026’ campaign across cooperative societies and offices in the state to mark the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram.
As part of the campaign, district cooperative banks, Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and other cooperative institutions organised bike rallies to raise public awareness. Tiranga Yatras were also held at the panchayat level, drawing participation from Cooperation Department officials, employees and members of cooperative societies.
The rallies and processions passed through prominent intersections in district headquarters, attracting public attention.
Campaign To Continue Until August 17
According to departmental guidelines, the campaign will continue until August 17, 2026.
A range of awareness and cultural activities are planned during the coming week at district and panchayat levels. These will include cultural programmes, exhibitions, Rangoli competitions and ‘Selfie with Tiranga’ activities, among others.
‘Taking Patriotism To Every Village’
Cooperation Minister Ram Kripal Yadav said the department’s presence at the grassroots level gave it an important role in taking the campaign to rural communities.
“The Cooperation Department plays a vital role in strengthening the state’s rural economy,” Yadav said, adding that the department has a presence down to the panchayat level.
Through the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, he said, the department was seeking to promote a spirit of patriotism among people in villages across Bihar.
The campaign is being conducted through the state’s extensive cooperative network, with further programmes scheduled at both district and panchayat levels over the coming days.
