Patna: In a move that could reshape Bihar’s political landscape, Jyoti Singh, wife of Bhojpuri actor and aspiring politician Pawan Singh, is scheduled to meet political strategist and Jan Suraj chief Prashant Kishor today at Sheikhpura House in Patna.
The meeting has fueled speculation that Jyoti Singh may join the Jan Suraj campaign and potentially contest the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections on its ticket. She has been in discussions with Jan Suraj officials over the past few days, and today’s meeting could be decisive.
Jyoti Singh’s potential entry into politics is also linked to a personal dispute with her husband. Pawan Singh has expressed his intention to join the BJP and contest the elections, raising the possibility of a political showdown between the couple.
Political analysts say that if Jyoti Singh contests the elections, it would not only bring family matters into the public sphere but also challenge Pawan Singh’s influence in Bihar politics. The meeting with Prashant Kishor has therefore become a closely watched event, with observers viewing it as a potential high-profile contest in the state’s forthcoming polls.
