Gayaji: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodhgaya organised its annual flagship event Leadership 3.0 on Saturday, bringing together diplomats, business leaders, and professionals from different fields. The summit aimed to inspire young minds to understand leadership as more than just a position of power — as a journey of purpose, integrity, and impact.
Former Indian Ambassador Dr Deepak Vohra was the chief guest at the event. In his inspiring address, he said, “This is not just India’s decade, but India’s century.” He spoke passionately about India’s growing strength and confidence on the world stage and urged students to believe in the country’s potential. “We are Indians not just because we live in India, but because India resides within all of us,” he said, drawing applause from the audience.
In her inaugural speech, IIM Bodhgaya Director Dr Vinita S. Sahay shared her vision of true leadership. She said that leadership is not about holding a position but about leaving a legacy through one’s actions. “Leadership is about the story you write yourself and that inspires others,” she remarked. Dr Sanjay Kaushal, Chairman of the Media and PR Committee, said that the summit was designed to explore new ideas of leadership through open dialogue and meaningful discussions.
The first panel discussion, “The Fluid Frontier: New Thinking of Leadership in a Changing World,” featured Mr Amitabh Ray, Chairman of the National Expert Committee on Technology, Innovation and Advancement of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, Mr Sachindra Kumar Rai, Chief Compliance Officer of NaBFID, and Ms Seema Pathak, Vice President for Data Privacy, Risk and Compliance at inFeedo. The speakers talked about how leadership must evolve to meet the challenges of a changing world. Mr Ray said, “Don’t be afraid of change, but rather, build on what is permanent and confidently ride the waves of change.”
The second panel, “The Alchemy of Leadership: Building Culture and Capability,” brought together experts such as Mr Rajiv Yadav, Head of Talent Acquisition at ElectraEV; Dr Swarnpreet Singh, AVP and Campus Head at ICICI Lombard; Ms Harpriya, HR and L&D professional; and Mr Rishav Dev, Strategic HR Leader.
