Patna: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna opened its digital doors to prospective students on Friday, conducting a Virtual Open House aimed at helping JEE Advanced 2025 qualifiers and their families navigate their next academic steps.
The interactive session provided an in-depth look at the institute’s academic offerings, cutting-edge research environment, and vibrant student life, helping attendees make informed choices ahead of the upcoming Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process.
Led by Director Prof T. N. Singh, alongside Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programmes) Dr Sushant Kumar and Associate Dean (Student Affairs) Dr P. K. Tiwari, the event featured presentations, live Q&A sessions, and discussions with faculty members and current students.
Participants were given a comprehensive overview of 32 academic and minor programmes across 18 disciplines. Among the highlights was an interdisciplinary Dual Degree (BTech-MBA) programme offered in collaboration with IIM Mumbai and IIM Bodh Gaya, designed to foster leadership and innovation. The institute also offers a six-month industry internship component, providing students with valuable real-world experience.
The session further explored IIT Patna’s international research collaborations, placement opportunities, and a broad array of student support systems—from academic mentoring to extracurricular activities—designed to encourage holistic development.
