Increased Toll Rates to Take Effect at Patna-Bakhtiyarpur Plaza
Patna: From midnight on Sunday, June 3, motorists using the Patna-Bakhtiyarpur toll plaza near Didarganj on National Highway 30 will face higher toll charges. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has lifted the ban on the new rates that were initially set to be implemented on April 1.
According to BN Chaudhary, the General Manager of the toll plaza, toll rates will see an increase of two and a half to three percent, equating to an additional charge of five to thirty rupees. These new rates will be automatically deducted via the Fastag system installed in vehicles.
Residents within a 20-kilometer radius of the toll plaza will now pay a monthly fee of Rs 340 for their vehicles. Chaudhary noted that approximately 20,000 vehicles pass through the Patna-Bakhtiyarpur toll plaza every 24 hours, with 95 percent of these vehicles equipped with Fastag.
The toll plaza features six lanes for traffic in both directions, and cashless toll payments via Fastag are applicable on all routes.
