New Delhi/Patna: Budget airlines, IndiGo, experienced technical problems with its online services on Wednesday afternoon, leaving some passengers unable to access flight schedules and fares through its website and mobile app.
The disruption affected new ticket bookings and web check-in, with passengers sharing screenshots and reports of the problems on social media.
IndiGo said its systems were experiencing intermittent technical glitches that could prevent some customers from using its online services. The airline said its technical teams were working to restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
Web check-in also affected
The disruption extended to web check-in services, with passengers travelling on Wednesday and Thursday reporting difficulties completing the process and downloading their boarding passes.
With online services unavailable or unreliable for some passengers, airport counters saw increased demand as travellers turned to manual check-in and booking facilities.
Some passengers were consequently required to make alternative arrangements while the airline worked to resolve the digital disruption.
Airline advises passengers to try again
IndiGo advised passengers facing difficulties with ticket bookings or web check-in to try again through its website or mobile application after some time.
The airline said its technical teams were continuing to work on resolving the issue.
Passengers requiring immediate assistance with their travel plans were advised to contact IndiGo’s customer support helpline, while those travelling at a later date were encouraged to retry the online services after the system stabilises.
