Patna: The Jan Suraj Party has strongly refuted allegations regarding outstanding payments to Deepak Tent House, calling the claims baseless and politically motivated. Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, party spokesperson Manoj Baitha presented documents to counter the accusations and accused opposition parties of attempting to malign Jan Suraj due to its growing popularity.

Baitha dismissed the claim made by Deepak Kumar Rajak, the owner of Deepak Tent House, that the party owed him Rs 13 lakh but had only paid Rs 1.2 lakh so far. According to Baitha, the party had received a bill of Rs 2,47,500 from the vendor on January 27, which included the cost of replacing lost blankets at Rs 450 per piece. This entire amount was transferred from Jan Suraj’s bank account to Rajak’s account on January 30.

Furthermore, Baitha asserted that Jan Suraj Party had paid a total of Rs 4,57,500 to Deepak Kumar’s Axis Bank account between January 4 and January 30, contradicting his allegations. “These claims appear to be part of a political conspiracy by opposition parties, who are rattled by Jan Suraj’s rising influence,” Baitha said.

The spokesperson also addressed JD (U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar’s statement that Jan Suraj Party does not have a bank account, dismissing it as completely false. “The payments to Deepak Tent House have been made from Jan Suraj Party’s bank account itself,” he stated, urging Rajak to seek a resolution through dialogue rather than making public statements. “If he still has grievances, I request him to come forward and discuss them instead of making baseless claims in the media,” he added.
