Patna: Former Bihar Chief Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha- Secular (HAM- S) patron Jitan Ram Manjhi on Saturday launched a sharp attack on Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, accusing him of making “impossible and fanciful claims” during his campaign speeches.
Speaking to reporters at Patna airport, Manjhi took a sarcastic swipe at Tejashwi’s recent remark that his party would “tear up all the bills” if elected to power. “If his government is formed, then let him bring the moon to Earth too,” Manjhi quipped, adding that such statements exposed a lack of seriousness.
Calling the RJD leader’s promises “detached from reality,” Manjhi said, “If nothing is going to happen, he can say whatever he wants. But those who understand governance speak with a sense of responsibility.” He added that the people of Bihar “still remember what happened during the rule of his father and mother before 2005.”

Manjhi also hit out at Tejashwi Yadav’s description of the NDA government as one “run by Gujaratis.” Dismissing the charge, he said, “This is a myth. Anyone who can’t see the truth in broad daylight doesn’t understand what is happening. Nitish Kumar is leading the government in Bihar and has been doing commendable work for two decades.”
Praising Nitish Kumar’s record, Manjhi cited achievements in good governance, electricity, roads, law and order, education, and healthcare, saying the chief minister had provided continuity and stability in the state.
Extending his support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Manjhi said, “India is being led by a leader who believes in Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas (everyone’s support, everyone’s trust, everyone’s effort). Anyone who works according to the Constitution is not a Gujarati, a Bihari, or a Madrasi, but an Indian.”
Confident of the NDA’s victory, he asserted, “The people of Bihar have made up their minds. Everything will be clear on the 14th.”
