Patna: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has departed Singapore for India after a week-long stay for a medical check-up at the residence of his daughter, Rohini Acharya.
The departure was marked by an emotional farewell at the airport, where Rohini Acharya accompanied her father and later shared a post expressing her sentiments.
Airport Farewell
According to family details shared on social media, Rohini Acharya visited the airport to see Lalu Prasad Yadav off before his return journey to India. She was visibly emotional during the farewell, marking the end of his short stay in Singapore.

Lalu Prasad Yadav had travelled to Singapore from Delhi on May 29 for a health check-up and spent the period at Rohini Acharya’s residence.

Following the farewell, Rohini Acharya posted a message describing her emotional attachment to her father. In her post, she wrote: “If life is a book, then you, Papa, are its most beautiful chapter. You are leaving today, but your love and blessings will always remain with me. Please come back soon. You are the light of our home. Your presence, your smile, and your faith in me give me the courage to move forward.”
Her post received engagement on social media, with supporters highlighting the family bond.
Family Gatherings and Recent Events
Earlier, on May 27, the first birthday of Iraj, son of Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, was celebrated in Ghaziabad. Members of the Lalu family attended the event, though Rohini Acharya was not present.
During his Singapore visit, Lalu Prasad Yadav reportedly carried gifts for his daughter, including mangoes, lychees and laddus, according to family accounts shared earlier.
Medical Background
Lalu Prasad Yadav underwent a kidney transplant in Singapore in 2022. The kidney was donated by Rohini Acharya. Since the procedure, he has been travelling periodically to Singapore for follow-up medical consultations.
