Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) national president Lalu Prasad Yadav left for Delhi on Monday afternoon for further medical treatment after recently being discharged from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) in Patna.
He was accompanied by his wife, Rabri Devi, and daughter and Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti. He is scheduled to undergo further treatment at AIIMS, Delhi.
Hospitalised After Blood Pressure Fluctuations
Lalu Prasad Yadav was admitted to IGIMS on Friday evening after experiencing fluctuations in his blood pressure and complaining of sudden dizziness.
A team of specialist doctors examined and treated him at the hospital. According to Misa Bharti, he was discharged after his condition stabilised following a comprehensive medical evaluation.
His elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav, was also present at the hospital during his treatment.
Doctors Advised Observation Before Travel
Doctors had advised the RJD chief to remain under observation at home for a short period before travelling.
Following medical advice, he left for Delhi on Monday to continue his treatment at AIIMS, where he has been receiving ongoing medical care.
Misa Bharti said the family decided to take him to Delhi as his long-term treatment has been managed there, and further evaluation will be carried out by his treating doctors.
