Patna: The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has filed a formal police complaint after its national president and Union minister, Chirag Paswan, allegedly received a death threat via social media.
On Thursday, the party’s chief spokesperson, Dr Rajesh Bhatt, visited the Cyber Crime Police Station in Patna to lodge an FIR against an unidentified person who allegedly issued the threat on Instagram. Bhatt urged the authorities to arrest the accused immediately and ensure the strictest legal action is taken.
“This is not just an individual threat, it is an attack on democracy and an assault on Dalit leadership, which we will not tolerate,” Bhatt said.
