Madhubani: A portion of the Madhubani Collectorate complex is scheduled to be auctioned on November 5, 2026, in connection with a long-running financial dispute involving outstanding dues of approximately Rs 4.17 crore.
According to the auction proclamation issued by the Civil Court, the property includes around 10 kattha of land and a two-storey building in the southern part of the Collectorate premises. The property is identified by khesra number 4899.
The auction notice was displayed at the Madhubani Collectorate, District Registration Office, court premises and advocates’ bar following a court order. The development has drawn attention because the property forms part of the district’s Collectorate complex.
Case Involves Radha Krishna Exports and Pandaul Spinning Mills
The proposed auction is linked to execution case number 3/16, titled Radha Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd. versus Pandaul Cooperative Spinning Mills Pvt. Ltd. and Others.
The dispute concerns the recovery of money allegedly due to Radha Krishna Exports. Legal proceedings have continued for several years over the payment of the outstanding amount.
According to the case details cited in reports, retired Patna High Court judge Justice Ghanshyam Prasad, acting as an arbitrator in Request Case No. 7/2012, passed an order in favour of Radha Krishna Exports.
The company subsequently pursued recovery proceedings after the amount was allegedly not paid despite the order.
Court Orders Attachment and Auction Proceedings
The amount cited in the recovery proceedings is Rs 4,17,24,459, including interest, according to the auction-related report.
On August 27, 2026, the court reportedly issued an order concerning attachment and auction of the property as part of the recovery process.
Following the order, the court administration initiated steps to publicise the proposed auction. On Thursday, court officials, including Court Nazir Awadhesh Kumar and Deputy Nazir Vikas Kumar, visited the Collectorate to display the proclamation.
The notice was also placed at other designated public locations to inform prospective bidders about the scheduled sale.
Patna High Court Appeal Dismissed on September 30
The case has also involved proceedings before the Patna High Court. According to government counsel Sarojanand Jha, an order passed earlier by the then Principal District and Sessions Judge, Anamika T, had been challenged before the High Court.
The appeal was reportedly dismissed on September 30, 2026. The government side has indicated that it intends to challenge the High Court order before the Supreme Court.
Any further proceedings and orders from the competent courts could have a bearing on subsequent steps in the matter.
Bidders Must Deposit Rs 41.72 Lakh as Security
The auction proclamation specifies a security deposit equivalent to 10% of the amount cited in the recovery proceedings.
Prospective bidders will therefore have to deposit Rs 41,72,445.90 through a demand draft payable to the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Madhubani. The amount must be submitted at the Nazir office of the Civil Court in Madhubani, as specified in the notice.
Only those who meet the prescribed requirements will be eligible to participate in the auction. Court Manager Sarfaraz Alam said the proclamation contains details of the immovable property being put up for sale.
Interested participants should consult the official auction notice for the complete terms, eligibility conditions and payment requirements.
Similar Auction Notice Issued in 2025
The dispute had attracted attention earlier as well. A notice concerning the proposed auction of approximately 10 kattha of land and the two-storey building was reportedly issued in 2025.
The fresh proclamation has brought the matter back into focus, with the next auction date fixed for November 5, 2026.
The proposed sale forms part of the court’s recovery proceedings in the financial dispute. The outcome will depend on the auction process and any further orders passed by the courts.
