Patna: The second edition of the Bihar Women’s Kabaddi League is gaining momentum at the Indoor Stadium of Pataliputra Sports Complex in Kankarbagh, Patna. The tournament, organised by the Bihar State Sports Authority, is being held from March 11 to 17 and has already delivered several competitive matches as teams fight for a strong position in the league standings.
After the 15th match played on the third day of the tournament, Magadh Warriors have emerged as the table leaders with 10 points. Siwan Titans are currently placed second with 8 points, while Saran Strikers occupy the third position with 6 points. A total of 30 league matches are scheduled to be played during the tournament.
As the competition progresses, the enthusiasm among players and spectators continues to grow. The matches have drawn considerable attention from local sports fans, with each team showcasing strong raiding and defensive performances.
In match 13, Sitamarhi Sentinels defeated Patna Pelicans 36–30. Zainab Praveen of Patna Pelicans was named best raider, while Riya from Sitamarhi Sentinels received the best defender award. In match 14, Siwan Titans secured a 30–20 victory over Nalanda Ninjas, with Indu Kumari winning best raider and Simran Kumari of Nalanda Ninjas being named best defender.
Magadh Warriors continued their strong run in match 15 by defeating Saran Strikers 33–26. Muskan from Saran Strikers was the best raider, while Nancy Priya from Magadh Warriors was awarded best defender. In match 16, Siwan Titans delivered a dominant performance, defeating Patna Pelicans 42–17, with Aashika Shandilya named best raider and Laxmi Kumari best defender.
In match 17, Sitamarhi Sentinels registered another win by defeating Magadh Warriors 28–23. Varsha was declared best raider and Ayushi received the best defender award, both representing Sitamarhi Sentinels.
With several matches still to be played, the Bihar Women’s Kabaddi League continues to build excitement as teams compete for the top spot in the standings.
