Nalanda / Patna : The popular Rajgir ropeway, a major tourist draw in Bihar, will remain closed for five days from Wednesday, as routine maintenance work is carried out.
The ropeway, which runs up the scenic Ratnagiri hills and offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, is scheduled to be shut from April 10-14, according to Deepak Kumar, the ropeway’s manager.
Deepak Kumar said the temporary closure was due to technical maintenance – a routine procedure aimed at ensuring the continued safety of passengers and the smooth functioning of the system.
“This is necessary work that is undertaken at regular intervals,” he said, adding that services would resume immediately after the maintenance is complete.
The Rajgir ropeway is considered the most popular of its kind in Bihar and attracts thousands of domestic and international tourists each year. It remains one of the region’s key attractions, offering visitors a unique aerial perspective of the historic and verdant landscape.
