Patna: Railway police have arrested a man for allegedly molesting a female passenger aboard the Tejas Rajdhani Express travelling from Delhi to Patna.
The accused has been identified as Manohar Kumar Jha, a resident of Bibhutipur in Samastipur.
According to police, Jha was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when the incident occurred. A subsequent test confirmed that he had consumed alcohol.
Passenger Reported Incident To Railway Police
The woman was travelling from Delhi to Patna, while Jha was also a passenger on the same train.
Police said that as the train approached Sachivalaya Halt, Jha allegedly behaved indecently towards the woman and molested her. When she objected, he allegedly behaved rudely towards her.
The woman subsequently contacted the Railway Police and reported the incident.
Police acted on the complaint and arrested Jha when the train arrived at Patna Junction.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
