Patna: The municipal commissioner of Patna has inspected the ongoing redevelopment works at Mangal Talab, directing officials to maintain quality standards and adhere to the project timeline set for completion in June 2026.
Yashpal Meena, the municipal commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC), visited the site on Thursday to review the progress and quality of construction. During the inspection, he instructed engineers and executing agencies to ensure that all works are carried out within the stipulated timeframe without compromising on technical standards.
The redevelopment project at Mangal Talab includes the construction of a boundary wall, development of an internal road network, drainage infrastructure, earth filling and the establishment of a children’s park. Officials said these works form part of a broader effort to strengthen basic civic infrastructure in the area and improve public access to the site.
Speaking during the visit, Meena said the comprehensive development of the Mangal Talab complex would improve civic amenities for local residents while also enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the locality. He emphasised the need for transparency in execution and called for regular monitoring to ensure steady progress.
According to the civic body, the project began earlier this month and is scheduled to be completed by June 2026. The inspection was attended by the executive officer, executive engineer and other senior officials associated with the project.
