Patna: BJP is preparing for a major political event as Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a 2.8-kilometre-long road show in the city on November 2. The road show will start from Dinkar Square in Kadamkuan and end at Udyog Bhawan near Gandhi Maidan. The BJP has called this event an important part of its campaign ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections. The party hopes to send a strong message to voters in Patna, which has 14 assembly seats, by showing its strength through the crowd and enthusiasm during the event.
According to the plan, the road show will begin at 5 p.m. and pass through some of the main areas of Patna. Along the 2.8-km route, ten welcome points are being created where the Prime Minister will be greeted with flower showers, drum beats, and traditional dance performances. Large numbers of people are expected to line up along the route to see the Prime Minister. The BJP’s Mahila Morcha and Yuva Morcha have been given key responsibilities to make the event successful, with special focus on encouraging more women to join the celebration.
The Patna district unit of the BJP is leading the preparations. Road Construction Minister Nitin Naveen has been given charge of managing and organising the entire event, while other senior leaders and office bearers are also supervising different committees. The entire stretch from Dinkar Square to Udyog Bhawan is being decorated with saffron-coloured flags, banners, and large cutouts of Prime Minister Modi. The streets of Patna will have bright lights, floral decorations, and billboards carrying messages related to the BJP’s campaign. The party aims to create an atmosphere of enthusiasm and celebration across the city.
The road show is being seen as more than just a public event. It is part of the BJP’s strategy to connect directly with the people and strengthen its presence in Bihar before the state elections. The party hopes that the large crowd will reflect its growing support and set the tone for the campaign season. Leaders say this road show will mark the beginning of the BJP’s “Mission Bihar,” with a focus on replicating the success the party achieved during the Lok Sabha elections.
Earlier, during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Modi had held a road show in Patna that attracted thousands of supporters. That road show lasted around 72 minutes and covered six kilometres, as Modi waved to people from his vehicle throughout the route. People had come out in large numbers, holding the tricolour and chanting slogans to greet him. The upcoming road show aims to recreate the same atmosphere, showing once again the Prime Minister’s popularity and the BJP’s strong presence in Bihar’s capital.
