Patna: Renowned spiritual storyteller Saint Morari Bapu arrived in Patna on Friday as part of his visit to Bihar for a Ramayana recitation programme. He landed at Patna airport and later travelled by road to Lakhisarai. Morari Bapu is scheduled to narrate the Ramayana at Ashok Dham, located near the famous Shiva Dham, from January 3 to January 11. Devotees from different parts of Bihar and nearby states are expected to attend the nine-day spiritual event.
The Ram Katha at Ashok Dham is being seen as an important religious gathering for the region. Morari Bapu is widely respected for his simple and meaningful explanation of the Ramayana, which connects ancient teachings with everyday life. Organisers say the programme aims to spread values such as truth, compassion, patience and harmony, which are central to the life and ideals of Lord Ram. Preparations have been made to ensure smooth arrangements for the large number of people likely to visit the venue.
During his brief interaction with the media at Patna airport, Morari Bapu was asked about reports of attacks and violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. Responding to the question, he said the situation was extremely sad and painful. He added that efforts are being made at various levels to stop such incidents and stressed the importance of peace and mutual understanding among communities. His remarks were measured and focused on humanity rather than politics.
Morari Bapu was warmly received at Patna airport by Bihar BJP state president Sanjay Sarawagi. Sarawagi later shared pictures of the welcome on social media and said it was a matter of pride to greet the respected saint. He stated that Morari Bapu’s presence in Bihar would bring spiritual awareness, positive energy and mental peace to the people. According to him, the Ram Katha at Ashok Dham will help strengthen moral values and inspire people to follow the path of righteousness shown by Lord Ram.
