Saharsa: Leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar showcased a united front at a joint workers’ conference in Saharsa on Friday, asserting their commitment to development and their confidence in victory in the upcoming assembly elections.

The event, held at Patel Maidan, was jointly inaugurated by BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal, JD(U) state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha, LJP (Ram Vilas) state president Raju Tiwari, HAM (S) state president Anil Singh, and RLM state president Madan Chaudhary.

‘NDA Ensuring Bihar’s Development’

Addressing party workers, BJP state president Jaiswal said the NDA’s unity was driving Bihar’s progress and strengthening the coalition’s grassroots network. “This alliance is dedicated to rebuilding Bihar. Before 2005, Bihar was considered a failed state, but over the last 20 years, we have put it on the path of development. Today, we stand among the rapidly progressing states,” he said, emphasizing the role of the “double-engine government” at the state and central levels.

Jaiswal also launched a scathing attack on the opposition, particularly the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), accusing it of pushing Bihar into corruption and economic decline. “Under RJD’s rule, even businessmen were forced to migrate. With our determination and the hard work of our workers, NDA will not only win the assembly elections but leave the opposition struggling for seats,” he claimed.

Nitish Kumar’s Leadership Highlighted

JD(U) state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership, stating that Bihar was progressing under his vision of “development with justice.” He pointed to Kumar’s ongoing ‘progress tour’ across the state as proof of the government’s commitment to completing pending projects.

LJP (Ram Vilas) state president Raju Tiwari echoed these sentiments, declaring NDA’s victory in the upcoming elections a certainty. “With an army of such enthusiastic workers, no one can defeat us,” he said.

HAM (S) state president Anil Singh took aim at RJD, accusing it of nepotism. “Those who claim to stand for social justice are still trapped in dynastic politics. This election is crucial for Bihar’s development,” he asserted.

RLM state president Madan Chaudhary said the opposition had already been weakened by NDA’s unity. “They are struggling to find an issue to fight on and are instead engaged in internal conflicts,” he said.

Tribute to Late BJP Leader

During the conference, BJP’s Jaiswal expressed sorrow over the recent death of Baban Kumar, the party’s Sonbarsa Mandal president. “His sudden passing is a deep loss for the BJP family,” he said, offering condolences.

The Saharsa conference follows a similar gathering in Supaul, as NDA leaders continue their outreach ahead of the elections, emphasizing their governance record while taking aim at the opposition.
