Bihar Introduces Free Exit, Freeze and Float Options
Bihar’s UGMAC counselling has also adopted the Free Exit, Freeze and Float system, similar to the mechanism used by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
Free Exit
Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 but unwilling to accept it can use the Free Exit facility without a financial penalty, subject to the prescribed counselling conditions.
Candidates must delete their choices before proceeding to Round 2. If a seat is allotted again after choices are retained, the free-exit facility may not be available.
Freeze
Candidates satisfied with their allotted college can select the Freeze option in the allotment section.
They must then report to the college for physical document verification and complete the admission formalities.
Float
Students who want to retain their current seat while seeking an upgrade in Round 2 can select Float.
Candidates opting for Float are not required to physically visit the college or pay the fees in Round 1. They only need to upload the required documents online.
If a better seat is allotted in Round 2, candidates can choose to Freeze it. Otherwise, they can continue with the Float option for the next round, subject to the counselling rules.
