Patna: The Railways has approved a new Bhuj-Barauni Amrit Bharat Express to strengthen rail connectivity between western and eastern India. The service will cover approximately 2,532 km and operate three days a week.
Three-Day-A-Week Service
According to the Railways, Train No. 19427 will depart from Bhuj at 5:30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. It will reach Barauni at 4:05 am on the third day.
On the return journey, Train No. 19428 will leave Barauni at 11:55 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, reaching Bhuj at 1:15 pm the following day.
Route Through Four States
The train will provide a direct rail connection between Gujarat and Bihar while passing through key cities in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
Commercial halts will include Samakhiali, Ahmedabad, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Bharatpur, Mathura, Hathras, Bareilly, Izzatnagar, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Siwan, Chhapra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur and Samastipur.
Additional Long-Distance Travel Option
The Railways said the new service will offer passengers an additional option for long-distance travel between Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Covering more than 2,500 km, the service is expected to provide a direct rail link between several major cities across western and eastern India.
