Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to 2,390 newly selected employees of the Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited and its subsidiary companies at Vidyut Bhawan in Patna.
The appointments included 68 store assistants, 512 correspondence clerks, and 1,810 technicians. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, and Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary.
Speaking at the event, Energy Minister Yadav extended his best wishes to the newly appointed employees and highlighted the government’s initiatives to adopt new technologies in the energy sector while generating employment opportunities for young people.

Other officials present included Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, Chairman of the Electricity Regulatory Commission Aamir Subhani, Secretary to the Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, Secretary of the Energy Department and Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited Manoj Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Singh, and Managing Directors of the state power generation and transmission companies, Mahendra Kumar and Rahul Kumar respectively.
The government has emphasised that such appointments form part of broader efforts to strengthen the energy sector in Bihar while supporting youth employment.
