West Champaran: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Valmikinagar on Tuesday and announced a massive development package of Rs 1,100 crore for the town. This announcement is being seen as a big step towards improving tourism, infrastructure, and employment opportunities in the region. The main highlight of the visit was the foundation stone laying for the Luv Kush Park, which is being built at a cost of Rs 51.54 crore and is expected to become a major attraction for local people and tourists.
Along with the park, Kumar also laid the foundation stone for several other important projects. These include the construction of Madhubani Degree College and the Don Canal Road, which were promised earlier during his Pragati Yatra. These projects are expected to bring better education facilities, smoother connectivity, and more growth opportunities for the people living in Valmikinagar and nearby areas.
During the visit, the chief minister met Jeevika Didis, Anganwadi workers, and members of women’s self-help groups. He visited their stalls, appreciated their efforts, and encouraged them to continue contributing to the economic and social development of their communities. The interaction highlighted the state government’s focus on empowering women and supporting rural entrepreneurship.
Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, along with senior officials, were present during the event. Strict security arrangements were made to ensure the smooth conduct of the programme. People in Valmikinagar are hopeful that this Rs 1,100 crore package will bring more jobs, better infrastructure, and a new boost to tourism, turning the area into a lively and attractive destination for visitors.
