Operation Sindoor Triggers High Alert in Bihar; Key Locations Secured

Patna: Following the launch of Operation Sindoor against Pakistan, all districts across Bihar have been placed on high alert. The Bihar Police Headquarters has cancelled all leaves for police personnel, while the state government has suspended leave for all employees, from junior staff to senior officers. Leave will now be granted only under emergency or special circumstances. The alert covers both civil services and the police force, and the general public has also been advised to remain vigilant.
Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs), Superintendents of Police (SPs) across all districts, and the Railway SP have been instructed to step up surveillance and security.
As part of enhanced security measures, Bihar Police has ordered increased protection at key locations, including religious sites, airports (Patna, Gaya, and Darbhanga), Patna Junction railway station, Mahavir Temple, Barauni Refinery, industrial hubs, NTPC Barh, Guru Gobind Singh Gurudwara, and the Indian Oil terminal in Sipara.
In an alert issued by ADG (Law and Order) to district police chiefs, it was noted that terrorist groups may attempt to target political or religious leaders to disrupt internal security.
