Patna: A woman was detained at Patna Airport on Wednesday after security personnel grew suspicious of her repeated presence at the terminal over the past three days.
Officers from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) said a search of the woman’s belongings uncovered three mobile phones, matches, puja items, and a doll. The items were handed over to the Airport Police Station for further examination.
“The woman appeared suspicious; we are questioning her. The items found in the bag are being examined,” a police spokesperson said.
The detainee, who has identified herself as Shruti Sharma, is reportedly a resident of Jhunjhun Mohalla in Gardanibagh. Preliminary investigations indicate she had been seen wandering airport premises without a clear purpose in the days leading up to her detention.
Police have confirmed that questioning is ongoing to determine the reason for her repeated visits and the intended use of the recovered items.
