Patna/Muzaffarpur : A BA student was found dead in her rented accommodation in Patna’s Shivpuri area on Thursday morning. The deceased has been identified as Sandhya Kumari, a resident of Rajwada in Sahibganj, Muzaffarpur.
Sandhya had reportedly been living in a rented room at a house owned by Shesh Kumar in Shivpuri since 2023. The incident took place under the Shastri Nagar police station area.
Landlord Finds Room Locked From Inside
According to the available information, the landlord knocked on Sandhya’s door several times on Thursday morning but received no response.
After getting no response, the landlord informed the Shastri Nagar police. Police reached the spot and opened the room, where Sandhya was found dead.
FSL Team Collects Evidence
Following the incident, a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) reached the spot to examine the scene and collect evidence.
The team, led by senior scientist Anil Kumar Singh, collected samples and other evidence from the room as part of the investigation.
Police also seized Sandhya’s mobile phone and other belongings for examination.
Police Investigate Circumstances of Death
The body was sent for post-mortem examination as part of the investigation.
Police are now examining the circumstances surrounding the death and trying to determine what led to the incident. The contents of the student’s mobile phone and other evidence collected from the room may form part of the investigation.
Additional SHO Abhay Kumar and police officer Vashishtha Mahato, along with other officers, were present at the scene.
The investigation is underway, and further details are awaited.
