Patna : Patna District Magistrate (DM) Chandrashekhar Singh conducted extensive field inspections of several key infrastructure projects across Patna Sadar and Danapur subdivisions on Wednesday. The projects included the AIIMS-Anisabad Elevated Corridor, Natthupur-Bhusaula Road construction, and the under-construction AIIMS-Phulwarisharif-Walmi-Khagoul drainage canal.
The DM directed officials to promptly clear encroachments along project alignments, carry out land acquisition wherever required, and legally relocate any obstructive structures. He also instructed BUDCO to complete the drainage canal work by April 30 to ensure effective water discharge before the monsoon season.
For the AIIMS-Anisabad Elevated Corridor project, around 1.53 acres of land across five villages will be acquired. The project is being executed by BSRDCL. The DM inspected key points such as Anisabad Mor, Bochachak, Noha, AIIMS Golambar, and Bhusaula-Danapur, and ordered immediate removal of encroachments from existing roads.
DM Chandrashekhar highlighted that during the Chief Minister’s progress visit on February 21, a commitment was made to widen the AIIMS Golambar–Janipur–Painapur–Newa Road. Approved on February 25, the 10.5-km stretch will now be upgraded to a two-lane road with strengthened connectivity to the Patna Ring Road. This development is expected to reduce traffic congestion and support the growth of western Patna areas.
He also reviewed the NH-30-84 (formerly Patna-Buxar Highway) expansion, involving 113.67 acres across eight villages. The DM instructed the land acquisition officer to proceed swiftly and arrange necessary funds.
The DM engaged with local residents and assured timely, transparent execution of all developmental projects.
