Buxar: The Patna-Kurla Express (13201/13202), also known as the Bombay Janata Express, has resumed its stoppage at Chausa railway station after more than five years. The train stopped at the station on Thursday night, and the local community celebrated its return with great enthusiasm.
Train services were suspended at Chausa in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Even after rail services restarted in phases, several trains, including this one, did not resume their halts at smaller stations like Chausa. Local people had been demanding the return of the train’s stoppage for a long time.
When the train finally arrived—30 minutes later than its scheduled time—members of the Railway Passenger Struggle Committee gave a warm welcome to the driver. He was honoured with garlands, flowers, and a shawl. The station area was filled with joy, and residents gathered in large numbers to witness the moment.
Dr Manoj Kumar Yadav, president of the Passenger Committee, thanked the railway officials and called the decision a major step for public convenience. Many other locals who joined the event said they hoped for more train stoppages and better passenger facilities in the future.
