Patna: Train services around Mokama in Bihar will be affected on Wednesday due to ongoing pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking (NI) work to connect the new rail bridge over the Ganga with the existing railway network.
The Railways has cancelled 25 trains, while 24 trains will run on diverted routes. The operation of another 11 trains will be partially affected because of the work.
Passengers travelling through Mokama and nearby railway routes have been advised to check the latest status of their trains before leaving for the station.
New Mokama Rail Bridge Being Connected To Network
The new railway bridge over the Ganga River at Mokama is being connected to the existing rail network. The work involves pre-NI and NI activities, requiring changes to train operations in the area.

Other cancelled services include 13029/13030 Howrah-Mokama-Howrah Express, 13031/13032 Howrah-Jaynagar-Howrah Express, 13043 Howrah-Raxaul Express, 13128 Ara-Kolkata Express and 13158 Muzaffarpur-Kolkata Express.
The list also includes 13415 Malda Town-Patna Express, 13510 Gonda-Asansol Express, 15234 Darbhanga-Kolkata Express, 15271 Howrah-Muzaffarpur Jansadharan Express and 28181 Tatanagar-Katihar Express.
Special services affected by the cancellation plan include 04185 Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi-Asansol Special and 05096 Mau-Kolkata Special.
Among the local services, 63204 Mokama-Kiul MEMU and 63275/63276 Kiul-Patna-Kiul MEMU Fast Passenger have also been listed for cancellation.
24 Trains To Run On Diverted Routes
Apart from cancellations, 24 trains will operate on changed routes because of the Mokama NI work.
