Patna: The Patna Municipal Corporation held a public grievance hearing at its headquarters on Monday, listening to citizens’ concerns and issuing directions for their quick and effective resolution. The hearing was part of the civic body’s ongoing effort to improve responsiveness and accountability in public services.
According to officials, a total of 30 applications were taken up during the programme. The largest number of complaints related to the establishment department, which accounted for 12 applications, followed by eight complaints linked to the engineering department. Five applications each were received by the revenue department and other sections of the corporation.
Officials said the core aim of the public hearing was to ensure that grievances are addressed in a transparent and time-bound manner. Each application, they added, is being reviewed on a priority basis so that residents receive better quality civic services without unnecessary delays.
The civic body also urged residents to follow the prescribed complaint registration process to ensure faster and more organised redressal. Citizens can lodge complaints through the toll-free number 155304 or by sending “Hi” to the municipal corporation’s WhatsApp chatbot at 9264447449, officials said.
