Patna Property Tax: PMC Shares Officials’ Phone Numbers, Online Self-Assessment Guide

Patna Municipal Corporation has shared the contact numbers of executive and revenue officers and urged property owners to complete pending assessment, reassessment and tax payments through its online portal.

Patna: Property owners in Patna can now seek assistance from Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) officials from home for property tax assessment and related issues. The civic body has made public the contact numbers of executive officers and revenue officers of its different circles.

Property owners who have not yet completed the assessment or reassessment of their property, or have outstanding property tax dues, can complete the process online through the Patna Municipal Corporation property tax portal.

The PMC has also advised property owners to complete the process before the deadline. A penalty of 1.5% per month will be imposed on property tax dues from October 1, according to the civic body.

Officials can also be contacted over the phone for guidance. Where required, property owners can seek assistance regarding the assessment process.

How to complete property tax self-assessment in 10 steps

Property owners can complete their self-assessment online by following these steps:

  1. Visit the Patna Municipal Corporation’s online portal.
  2. Click on the “Self Assessment” option in the main menu.
  3. Enter your mobile number and verify it using the OTP received on the registered mobile number.
  4. A window will open where you need to enter the details of your property.
  5. Enter the property’s complete address, PIN code and email address.
  6. Enter the property owner’s details, including type of ownership, owner’s name and electricity connection CA number.
  7. Upload the required documents, including ownership documents, electricity bill and photographs of the building/vacant land with GPS location.
  8. Check the information and click on Submit.
  9. After submission, the system will generate a SAS (Self Assessment Number).
  10. Use the SAS number to pay the property tax online and obtain the digital receipt.

Details required during property self-assessment

Property owners will have to provide the following information while completing the self-assessment:

1. Year of Assessment

Select the financial year for which the property tax assessment is being carried out.

2. Circle and ward

Select the circle and ward corresponding to the location of the property.

3. Property type

Select the applicable property category:

  • Flat
  • Land + Building
  • Vacant Land

4. Road on which the property is located

Select the name of the road on which the property is located from the available options in the drop-down menu.

5. Acquisition date

Enter the date on which the property was acquired or purchased.

6. Rainwater harvesting

Provide information about whether a rainwater harvesting system is available at the property.

7. Water connection details

Select the appropriate option based on the property’s water connection:

  • Government water connection
  • Not applicable
  • Own water connection, but government water connection is available within 400 yards
  • Own water connection, and government water connection is not available within 400 yards

8. Water tax

The applicable water tax amounts listed are:

  • Government water supply connection: Rs 1,214
  • Own borewell/water source: Rs 500
  • Government water supply and own borewell: Rs 1,714

Property owners can contact the executive officer or revenue officer of their respective Patna Municipal Corporation circle for assistance with property tax assessment and related issues.

In Bankipore circle, Executive Officer Gangakant Thakur can be contacted at 9031669437, while Revenue Officer Rajesh Kumar can be reached at 9308243073.

In Kankarbagh circle, Executive Officer Sanjeet Kumar is available at 9031669438, while Revenue Officer Shubham Kumar can be contacted at 9031668907.

In New Capital circle, Executive Officer Ajit Kumar Sharma can be contacted at 9031669439, while Revenue Officer Vishwamohan Prasad is available at 9431063067.

In Patliputra circle, Executive Officer Punya Taru can be contacted at 9031669440, while Revenue Officer Naveen Kumar is available at 9334789621.

In Patna City circle, Executive Officer Ashutosh Kumar can be contacted at 9031669442, while Revenue Officer Rizwan Ansari can be reached at 9264447438.

Property owners who are yet to complete their property tax assessment or have outstanding dues can use the online self-assessment facility to complete the process and obtain their SAS number and digital payment receipt.
